Alice (Claire Roos) has a yen for her new stepdad (Chad White), and writes in her diary how she needs to try harder to get him to pay attention to her. When he comes home after a hard day at work at manual labor, he’s just tired out, and seems disinterested in her playful come-on, asking him what they should do for the evening while mom’s away.
